2009 saw a huge 43% increase in the number of families we support in Ireland through our five schemes in Ireland. We continue to need your help to support young families from all backgrounds who are struggling to cope.

Home-Start is a voluntary organisation which supports parents with at least one child under the age of five who are experiencing:

• Difficulty in coping
• Social isolation/lack of family support network
• Emotional difficulties associated with demands of childcare

Minister John Curran TD, of the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, launched the new Home-Start Swords scheme on October 22nd in the Carnegie Court Hotel in Swords.

Home-Start Blanchardstown hosted a very successful party in the Draoicht Theatre in late September to mark their 21st Birthday.
